Privacy and file handling

Your project files are treated as private business information.

This notice explains what XSite collects during an enquiry, why it is needed and how to ask for access or deletion. Legal entity and jurisdiction details must be confirmed before public launch.

Draft updated 18 July 2026

What we collect

Contact details, company and destination information, messages, engineering files, part requirements, quote decisions, order activity and basic security logs. Payment card details are handled by the configured payment provider and are not stored by XSite.

Why we use it

To assess manufacturability, prepare and revise a quote, communicate about the project, fulfil an accepted order, prevent misuse and meet accounting or legal duties.

How files are protected

Uploaded engineering files are stored outside the public website directory. Access must be checked against the project customer or an authorised administrator before a file can be viewed or downloaded.

Retention and deletion

Project and order records are kept only as long as needed for the service, contractual evidence and applicable legal duties. Before launch, the operator must publish exact retention periods for rejected enquiries, completed orders and security logs.

Cross-border processing

A project may require authorised staff or manufacturing partners in another country to review the minimum information needed to quote or fulfil it. The responsible operator must document the legal transfer mechanism before production use.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to contractual and legal retention duties. You can also withdraw an enquiry before accepting a quote.
